Had this design bouncing in my head all day and thought I'd try to construct it tonight.

I've been collecting old costume jewelry and one of my favorites are those old clip-on bead cluster earrings (grandma beads :)) and I've amassed quite a few that were screaming to be used. I knew I wanted a large focal and this brass beauty was the perfect compliment to all those pearls and milky green stones.

I'm getting psyched about learning jewelry construction - it's tinker toys for grown ups. Taking some random components and figuring out how to connect, balance and compose is one of the most satisfyingly creative things I've done in a long time. Enjoy!
