More Bead Lantern Fun!

I can't wait to make more of these.  I'm glad I was able to work them into necklaces. I've had the resin pieces in my collection for a while waiting for the right time to use in a design and I think the little lanterns add so much to the whimsy of the pieces. Hope you like them, too!

Mikado Necklace

"Three little maids from school are we..." I found my fan stampings (yay!), so I was able to finish a necklace with one of those little lanterns I made the other week.  I started humming The Mikado as I was making them as they reminded me of the operetta. This Japanese meets Victorian necklace features a resin collage focal, bead lantern, brass fan stampings and porcelain and crystal beads. 

I had made this resin focal about a year ago and it fits perfectly with my design for this piece.  The Victorian flowers, treble clef and music notes jammed up against the tossed around text like a Gilbert and Sullivan's patter song, all work in harmony (sorry...) with the rest of the elements.
